Job Title: M&E Coordinator

Report to: Project Coordinator

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Reporting to Project Coordinator, the M&E Coordinator will be responsible for supporting M&E activities which will largely include; coordinating data collection and entry, performing regular data quality assessments on raw and electronic data, supporting data use initiatives and strengthening beneficiary filing using project SOPs.
Key Responsibilities:
  • In coordination with the Project Coordinator, Case Management Coordinator (CMC), and the data clerk ensure a reliable participatory M&E platform for KIDSS project;
Under the supervision of the Project Coordinator, the M & E Coordinator will:

Coordinate the timely data collection and submission by Case Workers and Data Entry Clerk using agreed upon standard tools;
  • Participate in monthly data review meetings to support performance tracking;
  • Routinely train and mentor the CMC, Case Workers and Data Clerk on data collection tools and quality therein;
  • Support the Data Clerk to ensure they receive data from the field in a timely way and can attain the set data entry targets;
  • Perform random Data Quality Validation before data entry and post-data entry based on set project standards;
  • Perform regular gap analysis and ensure remedial actions have been implemented in a timely fashion;
  • Perform basic data analysis to facilitate ad hoc and scheduled data demands which contributes to compilation of monthly/quarterly reports;
  • Upon verification submit data to CRS KIDSS M&E Officer using the agreed upon system/format;
  • Champion timely filing of beneficiary documents adhering to KIDSS project filing SOP;
  • Support in forecasting and distribution of standard data collection tools to the case workers;
  • Spearhead quarterly Data Quality Assessments using a standard KIDSS DQA checklist and ensure implementation of identified action plans;
  • Support project team on indicator interpretation and data use for decision making while availing timely quality data;
  • Participate in regular joint support supervision visits with KIDSS team and ensure documentation and implementation of action plans;
  • Provide timely feedback to Project Coordinator and CMC related to data collection from case workers;
  • Regularly participate in program and M&E meetings, sharing lessons learned, challenges and providing recommendations for program quality;
  • Any additional tasks assigned by CRS KIDSS Team;
Professional Skills:
  • Higher National Diploma in data related field (statistic, computer sciences, development studies) and/or significant experience in data processing;
  • At least 2 years of experience in the M&E Field. An experience with a local NGO or in OVC program would be a plus
  • 1-2 years of data processing experience, preferably on a similar position in a relief and development organization;
  • Good knowledge of Excel and Word. Experience working on databases like Microsoft access.
Personal Skills:
  • Computer literate (Word, Excel, Power Point,)
  • Eexcellent analytical skills;
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
