An international Non-Governmental Organization is seeking the services of a qualified, experienced and highly motivated Operations Officer for the Anglophone Crise Emergency Response Project who will coordinate the provision of responsive effective, and efficient administrative, logstic and procurement services in support of thc Catholic Relief Services’ (CRS) mission to serve the poor and vulnerable. You will help ensure stewardship of resources and a high-quality service approach are
integrated into administrative systems, policies, and procedures.

The Position is based in Bamenda and is contingent on funding.

Roles and Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and report on activities and required resources to ensure cost efficient and quality service delivery from administrative support functions.
  • Coordinate with the procurement and supply chain team and relevant programming staff on logistics services that meet the pipeline requirements. Help identify challenges in supply chain management and provide recommendations to address those.
  • Ensure basic admin and finance processes are completed according to CRS regulations. Help ensure administrative systems, processes, and policies are in line with agency standards and donor and local law regulations.
  • Engage with relevant external stakeholders (government officials, landlords, service providers, etc.) on assigned administrative matters and ensure required authorizations and documents are up to date.
  • Coordinate the efficient use of country program assets and rented facilities. Help ensure fully compliant procurement and asset management systems.
  • Help Identify safety issues and ensuring a safe and sound work environment.
  • Coordinate the provision of travel and logistics support and services to staff and visitors. Coordinate event planning activities, including delegation visits, trainings and workshops.
  • Maintain updated tiles with all required logistics documents and ensure all supply chain management activities and movements are fully and accurately documented.
  • Provide coaching, tailor individual development plans, and complete performance management for direct reports. Monitor and assess performance to ensure capacity for successful support of high-quality programming.
Basic Qualifications
  • High school diploma required. Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or relevant field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years work experience in administrative support and supply chain with increasing responsibility. Experience with an NGO a plus.
  • Experience and sufficient skills In MS office package (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and information management systems.
  • Knowledge and experience with transportation, inventory management and distribution
  • Required/Desired Languages: Fluent in English and Pidgin required; working French proficiency preferred
  • Travel Required: Frequent travel around the project zone (Northwest region and its environs) as well as occasional travel to Yaoundé.

  • Proactive, results-oriented, and service-oriented
  • Readiness to learn new skills related to cash programming
  • Attention to details, accuracy, and timeliness in executing assigned responsibilities
  • Strong customer service orientation with very good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ethical conduct and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability’ to work collaboratively as part of a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of US government donor rules and regulations (USAID, OFDA, FFP, BHA)
  • Basic familiarity with cash programming, strongly preferred.
