Action Against Hunger – Cameroon

Actions Against Hunger is an International Non Governmental Organiztion (NGO), apolitical, non denominated and non-profit. For our operations in Cameroon, we are looking for:

Cashier

m/f

Base: Buea (south west region)

Number of positions : 1

Contract duration: 1 Year

start date: 1st of April 2021

supervised by: HR & Finance Technician

Location : Buea South West Region

OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION:

Objective 1 : Manage the cash :

Activities :

• Check purchase approval and release required funds ;
• Enter advance requests in the advance book ;
• Receive and check the eligibility of invoices submitted for payment (compliance with purchase voucher, required information) ;
• Enter purchase invoices in cash book ;
• Pay salary advances ;
• Translate accounting documents (from local language to English);
• Close the cash book every week (cash count & reconciliation with ledger) & at end of month (cash count & reconciliation with ledger, printing of accounting documents, check of supporting documents) ;
• File invoices according to accounting procedures ;
• Propose possible improvement of day to day work to the line manager

Objective 2 : Archive the financial document

Activities

• Scan all the financial document (cash, bank & partners vouchers);
• Send all financial document to coordination office every month

DIPLOMAS/STUDIES/EXPERIENCE :

• Accountant assistant degree and experience in an administrative position

REQUIRED SKILLS :

• Good computer skills – Professionalism – Good level in English & local language

RECRUITEMENT PROCEDURE

Our recruitment procedure has 3 key steps :

• A pre-selection on the basis of the files submitted (only canidates whose skills and experience matches with the profile are selected for the test) ;
• Oral Interview

For each step, only selected candidates are contacted.
