Developer Job Description

Introduction

Nkwa is a fintech startup that has built an electronic wallet to assist youths and millenials save money directly from their mobile phone in a fun, disciplined and secured way towards goals they want to achieve.

As part of our tech team, working alongside other developers, designers and a product manager, you will contribute to the whole product lifecycle, from conception to deployment to the maintenance of features. You will join a software team already made up of mix engineers.

Responsibilities

Among your responsibilities, you will have to:

• Develop REST API’s in PHP,
• Work with our front-end mobile application on the consumption of these API’s,

Your tasks will be centered on the following:

• Evaluating user requirements and producing design,
• Developing & deploying new features,

Our Tech stack

Backend:

• PHP REST,
• Databases : MySQL
• Analytics: Metabase

Infrastructure/DevOps:

• Docker
• CI/CD(Github actions + CircleCI)

Frontend:

• Html, Css and Javascript (Bootstrap)
• React native (Android/IOS)
• Potentially build the web platform with React

Experience with Cloud Provider will earn you bonus points :)

Profile

• You have at least 2 years of experience in software engineering, with at least one successful experience in a tech startup.

• Willing to write code and test all the way.
• You are highly committed
