Call for Applications: Professional Masters Programs at the (CRESA Forêt-Bois), 2021 Session

A competition entrance examination based on the study of files is open for the recruitment of students at Level 4 and 5 of the PROFESSIONAL MASTER cycle of the Regional Training Centre Specialized in Agriculture, Forestry and Environment (CRESA) Forêt-Bois of the Faculty of Agronomy and Sciences (FASA) of the University of Dschang for the academic year 2021/2022.

The competition entrance examination is open to candidates of both sexes, Cameroonians and nationals of other countries of the African continent and the Indian Ocean. There is no age limit.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

I – MASTER’S DEGREE IN TWO SEMESTERS

• Admission Requirement: A/Levels + 4 at least
• Recruitment launched by the Minister of Higher Education www.minesup.gov.cm
• Cost: 1 000 000 FCFA/year (CEMAC Zone +DRC)
• Cost: 1 500 000 FCFA/year (non CEMAC zone

I-1 COURSE: INDUSTRIAL VALORIZATION OF WOOD

• Admission requirements: A/L + 4 years of study in Engineering Science (Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering.), Forestry Science, Forest Engineers Career opportunities: Wood industry, Furniture companies, International organizations, Central and decentralized government departments, Consultancy firms, National and international NGOs, Researcher, etc...

I-2 COURSE: PARTICIPATORY MANAGEMENT OF FOREST RESOURCES

• Admission requirements: A/L + 4 at least in Forestry Sciences, Forest Engineering, Agronomy, Plant Biology, Geography.
• Career opportunities: Forestry enterprises, international organizations, central and decentralized administrative services, consulting firms, national and international NGOs, research and development officers, various enterprises.

I-3 COURSE: ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT

• Admission requirements: A/L +4 at least in Environmental Sciences, Physical Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Forest Sciences, Agricultural Sciences, Economics, Law, Human Sciences (Geography, Sociology, Anthropology, Psychology), Earth Sciences, Biology, Engineering Sciences
• Career opportunities: Environmental Impact Assessment project managers, international organizations, central and decentralized administrative services, research and consulting firms, national and international NGOs, research and development managers, contractors, etc.

II - MASTER'S DEGREE IN FOUR SEMESTERS

• Admission Requirement: A/Levels + 3 at least
• Launch of recruitment by the Postgraduate School of The University of Dschang
• Cost: 500 000 FCFA/year (CEMAC Zone + RDC)
• Cost: 750 000 FCFA/year (non CEMAC Zone)

II-1 FIELD OF STUDY: ENVIRONMENT AND CONSERVATION MEASURES

Course: Environmental Assessment and Land Use Planning

• Admission requirements: Holder of a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Impact Studies, Physical Science, Human and Social Sciences (Geography, Sociology, Anthropology, Ethnology, History, Political Science, Law, Economics…), Forestry.
• Career opportunities : Regional Planning Project Managers, Environmental Impact Assessment Project Managers, International Organizations, Central and Decentralized Administrative Services, Study and Consultancy Firms, National and International NGOs, Study and Research Officers, Various Companies.

Course: Economy and Environmental Management

• Entry requirements: Holder of a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Impact study, Human and Social Sciences (Geography, Sociology, Anthropology and Economics...), Forestry.
• Career opportunities: Regional Planning Project Managers, Environmental Impact Study Project Managers, International Organizations, Central and decentralized administrative services, Study and consultancy firms, National and international NGOs, Study and research officers, various companies....

II–2 FIELD OF STUDY: DEVELOPMENT AND MANAGEMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES

• Admission requirements: Bachelor's degree holders, Forestry Sciences, Plant Biology, Geology, Geography, Forest Engineers, Agronomists, Environmental Sciences, Sociology, Law, Economics.

Course: Forest and Wildlife Management

• Career opportunities: Forest planners, forestry companies, international organizations, central and decentralized administrative services, consulting firms, national and international NGOs,

Course : Forest Audit and Certification

• Career opportunities : Forest Auditor (internal and external), Forest Certification Officer, Forest Enterprises, International Organizations, Central and Decentralized Services of the Administration, Study and Consultancy Firms, National and International NGOs,

Course : Climate Change and REDD+

• Career opportunities: Climate Change Project Manager, Forest Cover Change Monitoring and Assessment Specialist, Forest Carbon Measurement and Management Specialist, Forestry Enterprises, National and International NGOs

II – 3 COURSE: INDUSTRAL VALORIZATION OF WOOD

• Admission requirements: Forest Works Engineer, Professional Bachelor's degree in Woodworking, Forest Sciences, Plant Biology, Civil Engineer, Forest Administration Manager, Manager of NGOs specialized in Wood Processing and Valorization.
• Career opportunities: Wood industry, Furniture companies, International organizations, Central and decentralized administrative services, Consultancy firms, National and international NGOs, Academic and research officers.

II-4 FIELD OF STUDY: STANDARDS AND QUALITY CONTROL OF AGRO-PASTORAL AND FOOD PRODUCTS (NCQPAA)

• Admission requirements: Degree in Agricultural Sciences, Degree in Biochemistry, Degree in Veterinary Sciences, Degree in Agricultural and Food Biotechnology, Degree in Food Sciences or any other equivalent Diploma approved by the Pedagogical Coordination.

The different specialities offered during the last training internship are:

Standards and Quality Control in Food Technology and Food Safety

• Career opportunities: Controller and Quality Manager of agrifood products, Inspection, and audit in agrifood companies; Certification of agrifood products.

Standards and Quality Control in Animal Production

• Career opportunities: Controller and Quality Manager in the production and marketing of animal products (slaughterhouses, fishing port, etc.); Animal production inspection audit; Quality control of veterinary products.

Standards and Quality Control in Plant Production

• Career opportunities: Quality control of phytosanitary products; Quality manager in Plant Production; Seed quality control and management; Quality management of environmental safety
• Activities Sectors : Agri-food and pharmaceutical industries, structures for the treatment and marketing of drinking water, central and decentralized administration services, research and consulting firms, national and international NGOs, Laboratories, various companies.

File Composition:

• A registration form to be filled out online on the UDs website https://sigesonline.univ-dschang.org, downloaded, stamped with 1000 FCFA and signed by the candidate.
• A certified copy of a birth certificate less than 3 (three) months old.
• Four color passport photos (4x4)
• Certified photocopies of university diplomas and bachelor's degrees obtained
• Certified photocopies of the transcripts for these diplomas and by level of training
• An envelope (A4 size) stamped according to the weight of the attachments bearing the candidate's address
• For the 2-semester Masters, you must write a maximum of 3 pages (attach sheets): your project proposal on a theme in your field of study (including justification, objectives, methodology and expected results), your motivations and your perspectives, showing the relevance of your desire to integrate the requested course of study in the framework of your future training at CRESA.
• A medical certificate
• A payment receipt of 20 000 FCFA representing the competitive entrance fees to be paid via CBC Bank or Express Union
