About Elevate:

Elevate, is an independent initiative with a unique purpose to connect African youths with the right
mentorship and opportunities to thrive in a changing workplace of the future. We will achieve this
by equalizing access to opportunities for students across Africa. Elevate will prepare penultimate
and final year students to become better equipped for the professional world through a
professional development program, pair them up with mentors in their desired industry and
facilitate summer internship placements for them with partner companies. Through these
internships, they’d get first hand professional experience working on stretching topics with a
company outside/inside their home country and hence a chance towards a global exposure and
cross cultural immersion. Our goal is to improve on the employability options for these
phenomenal graduates.

Eligibility:

If you are an ambitious penultimate year finalist or recent graduate, this is a springboard for you
to receive support and mentorship.

• Be interested in pursuing a career in one of the following areas (Engineering & Technology, Healthcare, Finance, Economics, Venture Capitalism, Non-Profit management, R&D…)
• Have maintained stellar academic results, ideally a 2:1
• Be interested in following a fully virtual mentorship program
• Be interested in building a global awareness and starting a professional career internationally
• Be of African descent

Benefits of the Program

• Be mentored by a young mid-level professional from companies like GSK, Diageo, Goldman Sachs, PwC, ENEO, MTN . . .
• Get a Summer internship placement working on stretching topics for a start-up that will help you bring value to partner companies while fast tracking your professional
• development.
• Get a chance at cross-cultural immersion by possibly interning with a company outside your home country (We do not guarantee this for all candidates admitted).
• Be part of a community of people leading successful careers in their field and interact with high achieving peers.
