ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales Planning/Strategy:
- Develop and implement the sales strategy for the geography/team under responsibility, working in close collaboration with the ITAM and AM team and in alignment with segment commercial strategy defined by ComOps
- Lead a sales team to meet the revenue targets for the geography, being accountable for the performance and results of the team
- Review and contribute to the segment/geography pipeline and prioritisation of opportunities in line with the LTP
- Qualify and prioritize business opportunities/leads raised by the sales team in terms of solution fit and revenue potential to gain more market share
- Lead, negotiate and manage large to extra large deals to closure, by establishing and developing relationships with C-level executives
- Define, structure and analyse the commercial framework for the team
- Provide clarifications and support resolutions of commercial issues to the rest of the organization
- Provide guidance and feedback to the sales team ensuring as much as possible that they develop key competencies and achieve defined objectives
- Represent Amadeus at fairs and customer events
- Fix and follow-up sales targets for individuals in line with organizational goals/LTP
- Assist, guide and motivate team members in your assigned functions
- Manage P&C activity and procedures related to your area/department
- Ensure timely and appropriate communication to team members regarding organisation information
- Report on team activities
- Conduct annual appraisal interviews
- Provide input for salary reviews
- Ensure the development of your teams based on continuous assessment on needs
- Interview and select candidates for department team
- Monitor the budget under your responsibility
- Develop unit plans regarding business priorities
- Define & monitor performance indicators of sales activities
- Drive the relationship with top level internal stakeholders to guarantee the right level of service is provided to customers.
Education: Bachelor/Master degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or relevant IT work experience
Relevant work experience: Minimum 10 years’ experience in a commercial role either in sales, marketing, account management and/or project management in a commercial and business environment. Ideally experience in the travel industry.
Business understanding: Knowledge of Amadeus: history, business, offer, strategy, technology and organization
Skills:
Computing: Generic Office and Internet applications, CRM
Languages: English fluent - Additional languages are a plus
