Union Bank of Cameroon Plc is currently looking for a “INFORMATION SYSTEMS SECURITY MANAGER (ISSM)” within its IT Department based in Douala Cameroon. The opportunity is open to internal and external candidates.

Type of contract: Permanent contract
Location : Douala , Cameroon

Job purpose: 

He/She is responsible for establishing and maintaining a corporate-wide information security management program to ensure that information assets are adequately protected. She/he will work with executive management to determine acceptable levels of risk for the organization.

Key responsibilities and duties include:

• Develop, implement, and monitor a strategic, comprehensive enterprise information security and IT risk management program ;
• Collaborate with the business units to facilitate risk assessment and risk management processes ;
• Develop and enhance an information security management framework
• Understand and interact with related disciplines to ensure the consistent application of policies and standards across all technology projects, systems, and services ;
• Provide leadership to the enterprise's information security organization ;
• Partner with business stakeholders across the company to raise awareness of risk management concerns ;
• Contribute to the overall business technology planning, providing a current knowledge and future vision of technology and systems and integrating security best practices from the ground.

About You

1. Required academic qualifications:

• Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
• Certified Information systems Auditor (CISA)
• PMP/Scrum

2. Work experience:

• Experience in Information Security Management (3 years+)
• A track record in the management and delivery of transformational security improvements across an organization
• Experience in engaging, influencing, and managing stakeholders across departmental and organizational boundaries
• Experience at managing resources and identifying and securing approval for business cases at the enterprise level for organizational investment in information and cyber security

3. Knowledge:

• Understand the ISSM and System Administrator roles
• Strong analytical and planification skills.
• Knowledge of encryption/cryptography is a MUST

4. Interpersonal/Leadership competencies:

• Ability to build strong relationships and influence decisions with internal and external stakeholders Excellent written and oral communication ability
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to present complex or highly technical issues in simple and easy-tounderstand formats
• Strong people management skills and teamwork
