Job Role Summary

The role of the Forex Domiciliation and Import Payment Support is to:

• Ensure foreign exchange payment activities are performed in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations, CEMAC guidelines and best practices.
• Support the Customs Administrator and Invoice Processor on day to day activities.
• Maintain a record of FOREX payment issues and follow-up actions
• Maintain an adequate filing system.
• Implement procedures and best practices.

Work location is Douala.

Expected Level of Proficiency

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE:

• The candidate must have a degree in Accounting, Logistics or Treasury (BAC +3/4).
• Good knowledge of all procedures and governing documents related to the CEMAC payment regulations.
• Advanced computer skills, primarily, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:

• Knowledge of procurement processes
• Knowledge of Finance and Banking
• Good understanding of Supply Chain, Inbound/Outbound logistics, and Customs principles.
• Good understanding of International Trade principles
• Knowledge of Customs and accounting
• Understanding of the ANOR and SGS pre-shipment inspection requirements
• Analysis, written/oral communication
• Ability to network and interface with a range of people in geographic, regional and functional organizations
• Ability to speak and write English and French
• Effective team player
• Result oriented problem solving capacity and practical approach to implementation of corrective actions
