Core mission :

The Junior Hydrologic Technician contributes to implementation of the maintenance plan for the hydrometric station network. S/he also oversees monitoring and reporting of the performances of independent producers subject to standards for safety, environmental protection, compliance as well as concession and governance obligations.

Main Activities and Duties

Perform calibration and maintenance for hydrometric stations;
Carry out first level maintenance of measuring and exploration equipment;
Prepare daily and weekly joint reports on the performances of independent producers;
Help dispatch teams to assess energy supply needs ;
Help specialists prepare the contracts of new independent producers;
Perform monthly joint approval of plant performance indicators (ESOF, EFOF) ;
Monitor and prepare reports on the performances of independent producers;
Monitor the parameters of gas needed for generation.

Your Profile

At least two years of university-level studies in civil engineering or rural engineering or a Bachelor’s degree in hydrology ;
At least two (02) years of experience in the field of topography, rural engineering, civil engineering or hydrology.

Technical skills

Good mastery of hydraulic structures and tools (data collection equipment) ;
Theoretical knowledge of topography, bathymetry, hydrometry and hydrology of water bodies ;
Proper mastery of changes in technology and methods for maintenance of hydro-meteorological stations;
Proper mastery of changes in technology and methods for measuring water body flow;
Proper mastery of Microsoft Office pack and SIG, Autocad software.
