Nestlé Cameroon is currently looking for a Category Development Manager who will support the Category Manager in the planning and implementation of the Integrated Commercial Plan to generate strong business KPI’s for the category.


  • Develops & Implements Brand Segment strategy ensuring that main KPI’s are achieved with budget Monitoring & business review performance of brand within Category, identify & propose Category Manager corrective action where required.
  • Contributes to the development of Consumer Portrait, Consumer engagement Funnel for the brand. Develops an in-depth understanding at a category & brand level of Consumer behavior. Identifies Consumers & Shopper insights.
  • Briefs & Manages consumer-centric New products Development activities in collaboration with relevant functions
  • Contributes to the development of Media Campaign and engagement strategies and creates attractive & rewarding brand experiences events. Works in partnership with communication agencies and ensures all brand communications Contributes to enhance the brand/company Images of trusted Nutrition Health & Wellness (NHW) -LEADER.
  • Is responsible of creating Marketing plan in SAP & tracking monthly the Marketing Spend to ensure investment efficiency
  • Develops Briefs for the implementation of planned Consumer activities obtains the required approval and supervise implementation to achieve planned results on time and within the approved budget. Makes actionable proposals to the Category Manager to improve planning and results of similar activities in the future.
  • Executes brand strategy via Digital initiative aligned with the Category Manager or relevant functions to ensure alignment with Category Strategy and leverage of available Resources.
  • Monitor Profit & Loss (P&L) evolution & Make recommendation when required pricing, propose price structure, validate it with business key relevant stakeholders. Propose SKUs for the key Channels and Key Customers.


  • Minimum of a master’s degree
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Marketing and Sales at Nestlé or equivalent FMCG Experience working in cross functional Teams.
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in Communication & Event agencies as Project or account Manager
  • Must be a team player, open minded, dynamic, curious, and willing to learn quickly
  • Must be Mobile for field work & flexible.
  • Leadership skills
  • Great communication and presentation skills- A must have skill.
  • Experience in engaging external stakeholders (agencies etc)
  • Must be bilingual (English & French)
