The Virtual Immigration Fair is an event organized by the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador, in partnership with the Government of Canada. The goal of the Virtual Immigration Fair in Africa project is to recruit skilled workers in various sectors of activity (health, education, engineering, IT, tourism, etc.).

Virtual Immigration Fair give employers access to a pool of international talent to fill vacancies that cannot be filled locally. Employers can instantly connect with potential international candidates, review CVs and arrange interviews. The Virtual Immigration Fair Africa recruitment program focuses solely on certain in-demand sectors in Newfoundland and Labrador, including healthcare, early childhood education, technology, hospitality and more.

Organized by the Department for Immigration, Population Growth and Skills, this free Virtual Immigration Fair will open on September 20, 2023 and close on March 27, 2024.

• October 25, 2023: Africa - 6pm, West African Time (WAT)
• November 16, 2023: Europe/Central Asia - 7pm Irish time (IST)
• January 24, 2024: Middle East/South Asia - 6 p.m. Gulf Standard Time (GST)
• March 27, 2024: Americas - 7 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST)

How to apply for the African Virtual Immigration Fair?

The Virtual Immigration Fair takes place online on a dedicated platform, allowing candidates to consult job offers, submit CVs and cover letters, and attend interviews with recruiters. Selected candidates will receive a temporary or permanent job offer that will enable them to apply for a work permit and permanent residency in Canada.

Online registration for the Virtual immigration fair
