About Good Neighbors:

Good Neighbors Cameroon (GNCMR) is an international non-governmental organization with its head office in Yaoundé and field Offices in Maroua and Mbalmayo. GNCMR's work is focused on community development, implementation implementing projects in the sectors of food security and livelihood, education, child protection, water, hygiene and sanitation, health, environment, gender and advocacy. Good Neighbors Cameroon works with different international partners such as the United Nations and INGOs to seek sustainable solutions to development and humanitarian challenges.

JOB DESCRIPTION

1. Position: Volunteer

• Staff reports to: Programme Assistant (Operation Department)
• On a general note, the OD Volunteer will participate in the execution of all tasks related to work of the department and Good Neighbors in general.

B. Specific profiles required:

Candidates must:

• Be between 18 to 30 years’ old,
• Have a bachelor’s degree in Project Management or equivalent. A background in community development or humanitarian work are an asset;
• Have knowledge of Microsoft office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint);
• Be able to read, write and speak French or English fluently. Knowledge of local languages is an asset;
• Be able to move around the field;
• Be punctual, courteous, tactful and able to communicate sympathetically;
• Be able to work under pressure;
• Be available and not have any professional and or personal commitments that could hinder the smooth running of the tasks given within the organization;
• Applicants must comply with the internal rules of the organization;

The applicant must provide the following documents in English or French

• A letter of motivation;
• A curriculum vita (of two pages maximum), with at least two references attesting to good character and aptitude for work;
• A copy the last diploma and work experience certificates
• A copy of the ID card

Remarks:

• All interested candidates may apply for only one position.
• Under the decision of the selection committee and acceptance of a candidate, a candidate may be reallocated to another position in accordance with his/her CV

N.B:

• No latecomers will be allowed to enter the Organization for the Interview and they will be disqualified.
• Submission of any fake documents will cause automatic disqualification and cancellation of the application.
