The position is based in Douala.

Job level : 5 - Job grade : 3B

JOB PURPOSE

Support the bank function/business/Systems risks and controls coverage through a deployment continuous monitoring of Information Security controls with relevant stakeholders to mitigate the risks inherent within Systems.

JOB CONTEXT

This position will support the Head of Risks and Internal Control. The holder should have the proven ability to translate internal control requirements into practical business applications and solutions which compliment growth and strategic initiatives.

KEY RESPONSABILITIES

Head office & Branch Control:

• Plan and execute risk-oriented controls on the entire information system (including networks and telecommunications, hardware, operating systems, databases, business applications deployed in the subsidiary, business continuity plan, procedures, processes, etc.).
• Monitor and report information technology risks identified through the activities.
• Implement controls to detect and anticipate revenue loss, then propose action plans to remedy the situation.
• Support the automation needs of other controllers.
• Analyse alerts raised by anti-fraud tools and operational losses linked to the information system, then formulate recommendations to remediate and to prevent.
• Carry out ad-hoc controls on critical business applications and processes.
• Ensure ongoing controls in line with the IT control plan.
• Periodically assess the bank activities’ IT risk.
• Manage user profiles in the banking application and all other business applications. Review of critical system logs and activity logs.
• Analyse and assess risks associated with new products and services.
• Report control findings and corrective action recommendations to General Management. Carry out any other tasks assigned by the Group Information Systems Control Head Perform any other tasks assigned by the affiliate’s Risk and Internal Control Head.

JOB PROFILE

Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years working experience in Internal Control or Information Technology or Internal Audit of a commercial bank or in an audit firm.
• Bachelor’s/master’s degree in a related field (Information Technology, Business, Economics, Banking, etc.) Skills, Capabilities & Personal attributes

Analytical Skills

• Core skills in Excel and/or Access.
• Familiar with core banking databases, mainly FLEXCUBE.
• Extensive working knowledge of SQL (Structured Query Language).
• Knowledge of banking operations and accounting (PCEC in CEMAC Zone) will be a great advantage.
