Impact Santé Afrique (ISA) is an African non-governmental organization based in Cameroon, whose main objective is to help improve people's health by implementing transformative and sustainable programs (for more information, visit www.impactsante.org). ISA coordinates the Global Platform of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) for Malaria Elimination (CS4ME). ISA is looking for a Program Communication Assistant - CS4ME to support the engagement of civil society organizations (CSOs) in the fight against malaria.

Main duties and responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the Senior Communication Officer and the Senior Civil Society Engagement Officer, the Program Communication Assistant - CS4ME will contribute to the development and implementation of communication plans for the CS4ME (Civil Society for Malaria Elimination) platform. In collaboration with the dedicated team, he/she will participate in the realization of integrated initiatives of analysis and participation of communication policies, campaigns and influence in order to achieve a significant impact and reinforce the organization's main mission: to increase awareness in the fight against malaria.
The Program Communication Assistant - CS4ME will be responsible for supporting the implementation of civil society organizations' programs in the fields of malaria and health.

In this role, he/she will have the following responsibilities:
  • Manage calendars, organize meetings, prepare documents and attendcommunications events;
  • Assist with content creation, including writing press releases, blog articles, newsletters, social network posts and website content. Contribute to the design of brochures, flyers and other communication materials for the CS4ME platform.
  • Assist the Social Media Manager in planning, publishing and managing posts on social networks.
  • Monitor the media and promote the CS4ME platform's activities;
  • Maintain relations with partners, press agencies and other stakeholders. Assist in the coordination of CS4ME communication projects.
  • Collect and organize data to evaluate the impact of communication actions.
  • Assist in the preparation of events, conferences or awareness campaigns, ensuring logistical coordination and participating in these events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in human rights, public health, political science, communication or advocacy, social sciences, management or similar fields.
  • At least 2 years' experience in similar fields.
  • Ability to write and speak English and French fluently.
  • Ability to work in an international and multicultural environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (including report writing) in
  • English and French, to produce professional documents in line with national and international standards and to participate in policy discussions and debates.
  • Should possess a positive and dynamic attitude.
  • High sense of organization and work methodology: ability to plan, prioritize and organize own work and that of others; ability to work under pressure to meet set deadlines.
