About the Role
The Reliability Engineer analyses the behaviour of assets to keep them in TOP shape and suggests plans, ideas, actions for preventive and “operator asset care”. (Can be completely integrated in Process/CI role for medium or smaller sites). This role is based in Doula, reporting to the Upstream Maintenance Lead.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure relevant maintenance procedures reviewed and updated timely
- Research, evaluate, and recommend new maintenance equipment and tools to enhance the capabilities of the maintenance team.
- Coach and mentor maintenance staff and assist them to diagnose more complex problems on equipment and machineries
- Evaluate, select, and manage relationships with external contractors to minimize costs and ensure the organization receives satisfactory standards of service
- Ensure all key mechanical, pneumatic and piping spare parts of process equipment are identified and standardized, including identification of adequate suppliers in cooperation with purchasing department
- Provide expertise as line of defense for troubleshooting to assist technicians and operators in more complicated repairs and problems
- Identify root causes of failures to eliminate them. Participate in equipment improvement teams
- Ensure proper “operator asset care” support and development.
- Cost analysis Skill
- Diploma certificate: Industrial engineer diploma (BAC+5, Ex: Generalist, Electro-mechanic, Mechanic)
- Experience: At least 02 years in maintenance environment (Preferable in food industry)
- Have a good knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
- Knowledgeable in RCM tools required (vibration, IR, Ultrasound, lubrication, Motor circuit evaluation, etc.)
- Proficiency in MS Office application – Word, PowerPoint to a competent standard. Knowledge of Excel Advanced
- Conversant in Industrial maintenance
- Experienced in writing maintenance reports.
- Good in analyzing data analysis; able to implement, monitor and maintain dashboards
- Reliable for on-call duty, irregular hours, public holidays, availability linked to emergency work, night work, daily movements to the factory
- Able to take initiatives and make suggestions for improvement
