DV-2025 full registration process - U.S. diversity visa program

Great news! Registration for the DV Lottery 2025 is now open. You could be one of the lucky ones to gain permanent residency in the USA for free. For some of you, this will be the first time you've played the lottery, while most of you will have tried several times without success. So we're going to give you a few tips on how to register to avoid being eliminated. 

Registration for the DV-Lottery 2025 opened on October 04, 2023 at 16:00 GMT and closes on November 07, 2023.

Each year, the United States issues around 55,000 green cards through a random draw among some 20 million participants.

To take part in this Green Card lottery, simply visit the official website of the U.S. Department of State and fill in the registration form.

Who can participate in the American Lottery 2025?

Eligibility criteria 1: The DV-2025 lottery is open to natives of countries with historically low immigration rates to the United States. People from countries with high immigration rates to the U.S. are not eligible to enter. Click HERE to check the full list of eligible countries.

Eligibility Criteria 2: Each DV Lottery applicant must meet the program's education/work experience requirement, having either:

•  At least a high school diploma or its equivalent (BAC), defined as having successfully completed a 12-year course of primary and secondary education or;
• Two years of work experience within the last five years in an occupation that requires at least two years of training or experience to perform. The State Department will use Labor's O*Net online database to determine if the work qualifies.

How do I register for the DV-2025 lottery? How much does it cost?

Participation to the DV lottery is totally free. All you have to do is fill in a simple online form, and it's OK. However, one of the most important and crucial piece of information to provide on the entry form is the photo.

The photo in the registration form plays a very important role and, if it doesn't match what's required, your application will be simply disqualify. To participate, follow these steps:

3. And finally, use this tool to comfortably resize your photo according to expectations.

How do I know if I've been selected for the U.S. Lottery 2025?

The State Department chooses lottery winners by random computer selection. The results will be published from May 04, 2024 on the official DV-Lottery registration status website.
