What We Do

We are a food storage, drying, and distribution company that sources products from smallholder farmers, whom we support during the season with input loans and training, so that they can be more productive. We transform the farmers' produce into standardized, graded products that we sell across the country, to buyers who can be sure of the quality they receive.

About the Role

We are looking for a Human Resource officer to serve as our culture builder & administrative support to Senior Management. Specifically, this job will create an enabling environment for staff to stay engaged and feel as a community. They will not only seek to enforce and enhance company policy, but will be the human face of the company. In this regard, a successful candidate should be an endless optimist, who always sees the positive in everyone and every situation. Someone who is a natural leader and is unafraid to do the smallest support tasks like photocopying, to the more difficult tasks like termination. We are looking for a bubbly individual with an enthusiastic and upbeat personality, who is as comfortable in the office as in the field and always has an open door to encourage, engage and motivate all staff.

Responsibilities and Duties, but not limited to:
  • Align all business units with the company’s mission, vision and values and as such act as the liaison between all staff (including field agents, drivers, interns and senior management)
  • Set the tone for communication within the company
  • Organize and plan culture setting, team-building activities between staff so as to develop a strong connection between management and all staff
  • Design, enhance & lead all recruitment, staff management, evaluation and termination administrative processes
  • Ensure all staff related and administrative documents are e-filed as well as physically filed and stored
  • Demonstrate teamwork by checking in with all business units to understand what their needs are and taking initiative to proffer solutions or help them achieve their targets
Qualification:
  • At least 7 years of applicable experience;
  • Demonstrated “can do” attitude;
  • Experience in or demonstrated interest in agricultural value chains or agribusiness;
  • Strong systems, process and best practices experience;
  • Well organized and self-directed;
  • High integrity and honesty;
  • Articulate in English (preferred) and French;
  • Excellent good writing skills in English;
  • Excellent presentation preparation and delivery skills;
  • Decisive with a “big picture” perspective
Skills required:
  • Good communication skills;
  • Fluent in English and can communicate in French;
  • Legal and administrative knowledge on Cameroonian Labor Law;
  • Managing priorities;
  • Proactive;
  • Coaching & advisory skills.
