The Fleet Supervisor role in Cameroon is pivotal for the growth and
profitability of our Inland trucking service. As the incumbent, you will
oversee an existing and expandable fleet of trucks and trailers, focusing on
intra/inter-city and hinterland deliveries. Your primary responsibility is to
drive profitability and contribute to the Profit and Loss (P&L) by
ensuring optimal productivity, growing revenue, cost reduction, and
implementing innovative solutions for fleet management. Join us in shaping the

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage new and existing customer relationships, including 3P shipping lines.
- Monitor and optimize truck performance in terms of cost and utilization.
- Continuously improve and optimize trucking assets for enhanced efficiency.
- Follow up on the established investment plan.
- Ensure Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental (HSSE) adherence.
- Drive compliance and regulatory adherence.
- Uphold truck operation security/IT standards.
- Optimize truck productivity, including position tracking and fuel consumption monitoring.
- Coordinate truck repairs and maintenance with vendors.
- Follow up on lease agreements.
- Contribute to contract management with vendors.
- Drive adherence to governance frameworks.
- Manage overall stakeholder relationships with external partners.
- Sustainably develop truck drivers' competencies and availability.
- Engage with truck drivers to foster a positive working relationship.
- Be accountable for cost-to-serve, asset utilization, customer satisfaction, and Fleet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Execute the trucking strategy in Cameroon.
- Consulted on changes to the trucking fleet or services offered.
- Collaborate on service level promises to customers.
- Has in-depth knowledge of the trucking markets in CMR, CHAD, and CAR.
- Financial acumen for effective budgeting and financial decision-making.
- Strong skills in creating concise and precise reports of activities.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a team player.
- Proven track record in leadership and effective team management.
- Proficient in stakeholder management and collaboration within a matrix organization.
- Possesses a commercial mindset for strategic business planning.
- Cultural openness and adaptability to diverse work environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to establish and nurture strong customer relations.
- Proficient in both English and French languages.
