DIGITAL DIRECTOR / DIRECTEUR DIGITAL - CAMEROON

REPORTING TO : Managing Director

JOB SUMMARY :

Our client is looking for someone to join their growing operations with excellent digital media strategy experience and a proven track record of accountability owning all aspects of client delivery around Digital Media especially, within the FMCG, Telco, Financial Service sectors.

The Digital Director will need to lead a small team of digital planners & build strong strategic relationships with the agency's client base and other stake holders. We are looking for someone who is culturally savvy, applies innovative thinking and is interested in solving clients' business problems. .

ROLE DIMENSIONS :

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE :
  • A wealth of experience and technical understanding of PPC, Paid Social, Programmatic, Affiliates, Mobile & SEO
TOOLS:
  • Extensive knowledge of Digital tools
STRATEGY:
  • Proven track record of developing & implementing overall paid strategy, KPIs & reporting structure
LEADERSHIP:
  • Experience of leading a team of Digital planners and ensuring a high standard of output
NEW BUSINESS:
  • Ability to win new business for the agency based on Digital offering
SENIOR MANAGEMENT:
  • Working collaboratively with the Managing Director and other Leadership Team members on defining & bringing to life the core vision and values of the agency
  • Liaise appropriately with Group functional Director to ensure seamless planning & execution
INDUSTRY:
  • Stay on top of the latest updates regarding tools and platforms (Google, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.) as well as industry trends
EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATION & CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED
  • A tertiary degree is required preferably within Marketing, Advertising or Media
  • 7+ years’ experience in a senior Digital role, client or agency
  • Must be bilingual (English & French)
  • A track record of outstanding professional performance is essential
  • Experience managing a high-performing team
Certifications:
  • AdWords (Required)
  • Google Analytics (Required)
  • Facebook Blueprint Certification
  • GTM (Beneficial)
  • YouTube/Video (Beneficial)
Other Qualities:
  • Entrepreneurial and independent mindset who is hungry for the opportunity to help grow a dynamic business
  • Manage and grow Digital capabilities in the team
  • Strong client relationship builder
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritise and work calmly under pressure
  • Great understanding of touchpoint and media principles; with strong views on Digital
  • Confident to write and present brilliant Digital strategies
  • Genuine interest in people and how they consume Digital and content
  • Excellent knowledge of standard Digital tools, surveys and the ability to draw insights from data
