The TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations is the greatest sporting event in Africa and one of the biggest on the planet, showcasing the best of African footballers. In 2025, the tournament will take place for the first time ever, in 9 stadiums across 6 cities.
THE POSITION
- Division: Tournaments & Events
- Location: Hybrid/ Morocco (Travel Required)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Event Programming & Creative Direction:
- Design, coordinate, and execute dynamic entertainment programs matchdays, fan zones, and special events throughout the tournament.
- Identify, contract, and manage high-profile artists, performers, and entertainment providers, ensuring performances align with CAF’s vision and cultural sensitivity.
- Work closely with local organizing committees, venues, broadcasters, and marketing teams to integrate entertainment seamlessly with operational plans.
- Curate entertainment reflecting the rich diversity of African cultures, celebrating unity through football.
- Oversee entertainment budgets, negotiate contracts, and ensure transparent, cost-effective management of resources.
- Guarantee world-class execution of entertainment experiences, managing rehearsals, technical requirements, and on-the-ground delivery.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Events Management, Arts, Entertainment, Communications, or a related field.
- 5+ years’ experience managing large-scale entertainment projects, ideally in sports events or festivals.
- Proven track record in managing artists, creative talent, and complex live events.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong project management and organizational abilities.
- Fluency in English required; proficiency in French or Arabic strongly preferred.

In 2025, the tournament will take place for the first time ever across 9 stadiums in 6 cities, requiring an outstanding and dynamic workforce operation to deliver success on and off the pitch.
THE POSITION
- Division: Workforce Management
- Duration: September 2025 to January 2026
- Location: Hybrid/ Morocco (Travel Required) – fully based in Morocco, Rabat starting from November.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Internship Program Management
- Support the design and delivery of the AFCON 2025 Internship Program, including structure, milestones, and learning outcomes.
- Oversee recruitment and selection of interns
- Organize onboarding, induction, and role allocation of interns across CAF departments and venues.
- Coordinate training sessions, mentorship opportunities, and knowledge-sharing workshops.
- Monitor interns’ performance, provide feedback, and prepare post-event evaluations.
- Contribute to CAF’s long-term legacy strategy by recommending how the program can continue beyond AFCON.
- Support the development and implementation of the AFCON 2025 Workforce Plan, including headcount tracking, scheduling, and deployment.
- Provide administrative oversight across workforce databases, contracts, and reporting.
- Assist with logistics arrangements for workforce (transport, meals, uniforms, accommodations as applicable).
- Act as a point of contact for interns and staff, addressing queries and providing day-to-day support.
- Ensure interns and workforce members are integrated into the wider tournament workforce culture.
- Coordinate recognition initiatives in partnership with the Workforce Engagement & Communications Manager.
- Produce regular workforce and internship progress reports
- Capture lessons learned and best practices for CAF’s ongoing workforce development.
- Recommend pathways for successful interns to transition into paid or extended CAF roles.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Event Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in workforce management or large-scale event operations.
- Experience developing internship, volunteer, or workforce development programs.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong planning and project management abilities.
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
- Culturally sensitive, inclusive, and adaptable.
- Passion for workforce development and legacy-building.
