Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF) Entrepreneurship Programme 2025 for Young African Entrepreneurs
Applications are now open for the 2025 Tony Elumelu Foundation Entrepreneurship Programme. Since celebrating ten years of impact in 2020, the foundation continues to empower a new generation of African entrepreneurs through this unique program. Successful applicants will benefit from world-class business management training, mentorship, a non-repayable seed capital grant of up to $5,000, and global networking opportunities. The program is open to entrepreneurs across Africa, whether in start-up or early-stage businesses, across all sectors.

Steps to follow for the Program
Application Process:
- Applicants must complete a form and meet a minimum score to be selected.
- Selected applicants will participate in the TEF business management training program.
- Unselected applicants will access general training on TEFConnect and may apply for other TEF programs.
- Applicants must submit required documents to verify their identity and project.
- Those who fail to meet verification requirements will be removed from the program.
- All participants must personally complete all training, tasks, and activities.
- Once onboarded, applicants will undergo the business management training program (available in English, French, Portuguese, and Arabic).
- At the end of training, participants will be assessed, with the best advancing to the business plan preparation stage.
- Participants will receive a template to develop their business plan, evaluated for feasibility and sustainability.
- Top participants will move on to the pitch competition.
- Shortlisted participants will present their projects before a jury or submit pitch videos.
- The best candidates will receive seed capital, while others will be classified as TEF trainees
- Selected entrepreneurs will receive seed capital via electronic transfer to their business bank accounts.
- The total amount may be less than $5,000 due to banking fees and other deductions.
- Funds will be disbursed within 60 days of receiving complete and accurate documentation.
