2 Section Heads – Public Works (TP)

Contract Type: Fixed-term / Permanent – Supervisory Agent
Location: Mbandjock / Nkoteng

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assign machinery to construction sites according to the established schedule
• Ensure the daily startup and arrival of equipment on-site
• Coordinate the work of team leaders and operators/drivers
• Assist the department head with planning activities, dispatching teams, and drafting activity reports
• Monitor and control team leaders’ activity and attendance reports
• Handle hiring and dismissal of staff under their responsibility
• Implement QSDA policy and comply with quality and food safety standards in their area

PROFILE

Education: 

• At least a Bac+2 (2-year post-secondary degree) in Public Works or equivalent, with 3 years of experience in the field

Key qualities:

•  Dynamic, reactive, critical thinker, team player, methodical, organized, able to work under pressure

Technical skills: 

• Capable of planning and managing worksite execution, implementing safety measures, proficient with office tools, good team management and operational skills
• Experience in the agro-industrial sector is a plus

• Supervise road work within the sugar perimeter
• Measure staff effectiveness through KPIs
• Ensure safety rules are followed (signs, worksite marking)
• Report on activities
• Participate in annual budget development and ensure compliance throughout the year
• Apply QSDA policy and quality and food safety standards

PROFILE
Education: 

• At least a Bac+5 (Master’s) in Public Works or equivalent, with 5 years of experience

Key qualities: 

• Versatile, dynamic, critical thinker, strong managerial skills, team player, organized, pressure-tolerant

Technical skills: 

• Strong knowledge of public works machinery and project planning; civil engineering and road work techniques; safety regulations; office tools; operational and team management skills
• Experience in the agro-industrial sector is a plus

• Plan the replacement of electrical pivot equipment
• Transmit and follow up on irrigation instructions
• Ensure proper field data recording by irrigation technicians
• Apply QSDA policy and quality and food safety standards

PROFILE
Education: 

• At least a technical baccalaureate in Electricity/Electrotechnics, with 2 years of experience in industrial production equipment operation and maintenance

Key qualities: 

• Disciplined, rigorous, reliable, available, well-organized, result-driven, collaborative, initiative-taker

Technical skills: 

• Proficient in electromechanical troubleshooting and assembly, Office pack (especially domain-relevant features)
• Experience in the agro-industrial sector is an asset
