What are we looking for?
We’re seeking a proactive Business Development Manager, Digital to spearhead growth and adoption of our digital platforms across Cameroon, Ghana and Angola. In this role, you’ll design and deploy low‑cost acquisition strategies, train partners on digital check‑out and loyalty tools, and translate user feedback into product improvements—all to accelerate digital transformation in our value chain.
What do we expect from the candidate?
As part of our Digital Growth Team, you’ll need excellent relationship‑building and data‑analysis skills, plus the ability to train, inspire, and guide both internal teams and external partners across all three of our apps (My Solevo, Solevo Retail and Solevo Farm).
Key Responsibilities
Customer Onboarding & Activation – Manage a pipeline of distributors, wholesalers, retailers, and farmers. – Implement onboarding programs for My Solevo, Solevo Retail and Solevo Farm. – Deliver training sessions and collect usage feedback.
Product Feedback & Enhancement – Continuously gather and analyze user feedback across all three platforms. – Translate insights into feature requests and collaborate with product teams.
Engagement Monitoring & Reporting – Monitor customer engagement via analytics dashboards (e.g., Power BI). – Provide actionable recommendations to improve user experience and adoption rates.
Partnership Development – Identify and establish partnerships to expand platform usage. – Coordinate joint go‑to‑market and promotional initiatives.
Internal Enablement – Train sales and back‑office teams on digital tools and workflows. – Lead in‑person presentations and manage commission‑based field teams.
If you possess…
Must-Have
- 5+ years in business development or sales selling digital solutions.
- Proven track record of selling technology solutions or services to both B2B and B2C clients.
- Stranalytical aptitude; comfortable making data‑driven decisions and measuring ROI.
- Experience with ERP/CRM systems and analytics tools (e.g., Tablau, Power BI)
- Willingness to travel extensively across Cameroon, Ghana, and Angola.
- Fluency in English and French.Nice-to-Have
- Experience in agriculture or agro‑inputs distribution.
- Certifications in market research, data analytics, or agronomy methodologies.
- Familiarity with GIS or statistical software.
- Background working with governments, NGOs, or value‑chain projects.
- Prior consulting experience in emerging markets.
- A persuasive communicator and natural relationship‑builder.
- Adaptable and able to thrive in fast‑paced, cross‑functional environments.
