Achyutam International - Consulting in HR & Finance is currently hire Head of Legal Department

Location : Cameroon

Responsibilities

• Organize, supervise or carry out the administrative work of his department;
• Ensure the proper execution of debt recovery;
• Issue legal documents (contracts, amendments, declarations, etc. );
• Ensure that legal acts comply with legal texts and the interpretation made of them by case law;
• Liaise with lawyers, experts, bailiffs, notaries, etc .;
• Ensure ongoing legal and regulatory monitoring in order to interpret, apply and explain texts to employees and clients;
• Maintain, archive, update and monitor contracts and agreements between the company and partners (customers, suppliers, etc. );
• Ensure the establishment and updating of the surety agreement between the company and the sales representatives' sureties and quarterly information of these sureties;
• Intervene in the event of a dispute (amicable or contentious procedure);
• Read and respond to mail;
• Enter legal correspondence;
• Prepare files, classify them, gather the information necessary for decision-making, share them at the appropriate time and ensure their archiving;
• Update regulations and monitor them;
• Carry out documentary research;
• Ensure legal monitoring;
• Ensure the company's representation with labor institutions, bailiffs and notaries;
• Enter and format legal documents;
• Represent the company before the courts and tribunals and ensure that the law is applied to all company departments: production, human resources, etc .;
• Advise on legal matters.

Requirements

• Academic level: Bac +5 specializing in Private Law, Business Law
• Professional experience: 5 years in a similar position, preferably a lawyer admitted to the Cameroon Bar with corporate affairs experience
• Language: Fluent in French & English
• Solid knowledge of law (contracts, business law, intellectual property law, international law, etc. );
• Interpersonal skills;
• Excellent writing skills;
