Call for Volunteers to Join Nexus for Peace and Gender Empowerment (NEPEG)

Nexus for Peace and Gender Empowerment (NEPEG) is a nonprofit organization working to promote peacebuilding, gender equality, and social justice in Cameroon. We are seeking passionate and committed young professionals to join our team as volunteers.

This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience, expand your professional network, and contribute to meaningful work in peace and gender empowerment.

We are currently recruiting for the following position:

1. Volunteer Communications Officer

Location: Remote (with occasional in-person participation)

Type: Part-time volunteer

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage NEPEG’s social media pages and grow our digital presence.

* Create compelling and engaging content.

* Draft press releases, newsletters, and website updates.

* Ensure NEPEG is visible during key international days and campaigns.

* Explore innovative strategies to keep NEPEG visible even in low-activity periods.

Profile:

* Background in Communications, Journalism, PR, or related field (students and young graduates encouraged).

* Strong writing and storytelling skills.

* Familiarity with Canva, CapCut, or other design tools.

* Self-motivated, creative, and passionate about nonprofit communications.

Missions principales

Gérer les pages réseaux sociaux et développer la présence digitale de NEPEG

Créer du contenu engageant et attrayant

Rédiger des communiqués de presse, newsletters et mises à jour web

Assurer la visibilité lors des journées internationales et campagnes clés

Déployer des stratégies innovantes pour maintenir la visibilité en période de faible activité

Profil recherché

• Formation en communication, journalisme, relations publiques ou domaines similaires (étudiants et jeunes diplômés encouragés)
• Excellentes compétences en rédaction et storytelling
• Bonne maîtrise de Canva, CapCut ou autres outils de création de contenus
• Créatif(ve), autonome et motivé(e), avec un intérêt marqué pour la communication dans le secteur non lucratif
