Eiffel Excellence Scholarship 2027: Eligibility, Benefits and How to Apply
The 2027 session of the France Excellence Eiffel Scholarship Program is now open. Funded by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and managed by Campus France, this scholarship allows French higher education institutions to recruit top international students at Master's and PhD level. It remains one of the most sought-after French government scholarships among African students.

Who Can Apply?
- Students of foreign nationality. Applicants holding dual French nationality are not eligible.
- Master's: be 29 years old or younger and aim for an M1, an M2 or an engineering degree in France.
- PhD: be 35 years old or younger and prepare a thesis under joint supervision (cotutelle or co-direction) with a French institution.
- Have an excellent academic record: this is the main selection criterion.

- Monthly allowance: 1,181 euros for Master's students and 1,700 euros for PhD students
- An international return flight ticket

- Assistance in finding accommodation
- Exemption from the differentiated tuition fees charged to international students

How to Apply for the Eiffel Scholarship 2027
Keep this in mind before anything else: you cannot submit your application yourself. Only a French institution can present your file to Campus France. Applications sent directly by students or by foreign institutions are declared ineligible.
Step 1: Choose your programme
Find the Master's programme or research laboratory that matches your project using the Campus France catalogue, then contact the international relations office of the institution.
Each institution sets its own internal deadline, often in November or December, well before the national submission in January. The university's calendar is the one that applies to you, not Campus France's.
Step 2: Submit your file to the institution
The file usually includes a CV, transcripts and diplomas, a motivation letter, a study or research project, recommendation letters and a copy of your passport. Step 3: Pre-selection by the institution
The institution selects its best candidates and submits their applications itself on the Campus France platform.
Step 4: Results
Results are usually published at the end of March on the Campus France website.

Other Options
