Job Opportunity: System and Network Engineer at DÔVV Distribution SARL

To meet the needs of its operations, DÔVV Distribution SARL is recruiting a System and Network Engineer.

Job Objective

The System and Network Engineer is responsible for the design, installation, administration, and optimization of servers, networks, and communication systems. They ensure the continuity and security of digital services within the company.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, and maintain servers, workstations, and network equipment.
  • Ensure the availability, performance, and security of the IT system.
  • Implement backup, monitoring, and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Write technical documentation and train users as needed.
  • Manage user access rights, security policies, and incident handling.
  • Stay updated with technology trends and suggest relevant technical upgrades.
Required Technical and Interpersonal Skills
Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in server environments (Windows Server, Linux/Unix).
  • Skills in virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, Proxmox).
  • Deep knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLAN, etc.).
  • Administration of firewalls, routers, switches, and other network equipment.
  • Mastery of monitoring and backup tools.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity, scripting (PowerShell, Bash), and Active Directory.
Interpersonal Skills
  • Strong analytical skills and technical accuracy.
  • Ability to work under pressure and resolve incidents quickly.
  • Organizational skills and ability to document procedures.
  • Team spirit and good communication with users and service providers.
  • Technical curiosity and willingness to adapt in a changing environment.
Candidate Profile
  • Degree: Bachelor’s (Bac+3) or Master’s (Bac+5) in IT, systems & networks, or related field.
  • Available, responsive, and service-oriented.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a similar position.
  • Preferred certifications: Cisco (CCNA/CCNP), Microsoft (MCSA/MCSE), Linux, ITIL.
  • Fluent in French (technical English proficiency is a plus).
Minimum age: 35 years.

Job Objective

The Senior Developer is an experienced professional responsible for the design, development, and optimization of software applications.
 
Main Responsibilities
  • Design and develop robust, scalable, and secure applications.
  • Define technical architecture and make technology choices.
  • Provide technical leadership and perform code reviews.
  • Collaborate with project teams to meet quality and deadline expectations.
  • Set up testing, deployment, and monitoring tools.
  • Maintain documentation and manage ongoing improvements and fixes.
Required Technical and Interpersonal Skills

Technical Skills

  • Advanced knowledge of multiple programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, PHP, JavaScript/TypeScript).
  • Experience with modern frameworks (Spring, Django, React, Angular, Node.js, etc.).
  • Strong grasp of software architecture, APIs, REST, microservices, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum, DevOps practices, CI/CD, and Git.
  • Knowledge of application security, automated testing, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Interpersonal Skills
  • Technical leadership and ability to mentor junior developers.
  • Critical thinking, sense of responsibility, and prioritization.

  • Effective communication with product, design, and infrastructure teams.
  • Technological curiosity and continuous learning mindset.
Candidate Profile
  • Degree: Bachelor’s (Bac+3) or Master’s (Bac+5) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of professional experience, with at least 2 years in a senior role.
  • Available, responsive, and service-oriented.
  • Strong experience in back-end, front-end, or full-stack development.
  • Relevant certifications or credentials are a plus.
  • Fluent in French (technical English proficiency is a plus).
  • Minimum age: 30 years.
