Internship Opportunity: People & Culture (P&C) Intern

WWF is currently hiring a People & Culture (P&C) Intern for a 6-month assignment. This role is designed to provide critical support to the Regional P&C team in building databases, managing contracts and talent, consolidating reporting, and coordinating recruitment efforts.

Role Overview

Duration: 6 months.

Anticipated Start Date: January 15 or February 2, 2026.

Supervisor: P&C Director Africa.

Major Duties

• Assist with the management of contract, talent, and performance databases.
• Support regional projects, including HR policy reviews, staff insurance, and onboarding reviews.
• Compile key P&C reports and trackers.
• Support the Regional team in managing the Africa P&C community (meetings, drafting notes, etc.).
• Provide recruitment support, including job advertising and interview planning.

Candidate Profile

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Management, Law, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 months of experience as an assistant or through internships of a similar duration.
• Previous experience in an international organization or company is considered a plus.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• ilingual: Ability to communicate fluently in both English and French (oral and written) is a must.
• Results-oriented with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong command of the MS Office suite.
• Excellent team player with strong networking and interpersonal skills.
• Alignment with WWF values: Courage, Integrity, Respect, and Collaboration.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

● Master’s degree in Accounting/finance or a related filed and a professional accounting qualification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Accountant (CA) is required;

● At least five (5) years of progressively responsible professional experience in financial accounting, preferably in an international environment (NGO or Company);

● Experience working with government and donors;

● Proficiency in the use of MS Office applications, particularly advanced level in MS excel is required;

● Experience in using ERP system is highly desirable.

Required Skills and Competencies

● Strong ability to establish priorities, work within tight timelines and multi-task;

● Able to work under minimal supervision with high level of resilience;

●Good team player with strong inter-personal skills demonstrated by the ability to work in a multicultural, multi-ethnic environment with sensitivity and respect for diversity;

● Fluency in both oral and written communication in French and English;

● High ethics and a personal commitment to transparency and accountability;
