NRC CAMEROON recruits 01 Logistics INTERN based in Bamenda.

Role and Responsibilities

The Logistics Intern will report to the Logistics Officer in the Field Office

He/she will be responsible for:
  • Ensuring adherence with NRC policies, tools, handbooks, and guidelines. Implement delegated task according to plan of action.
  • Prepare and develop status reports as required by the supervisor.
  • Promote and share ideas for improvement of the support function.
  • Assist the Logistics team in managing & supervising stock.
  • Learn and track assets and ensure all assets/equipment purchased are entered in the asset/inventory database.
  • Assist the Logistics team to carryout local procurement e.g. distributions of RFQ & and drafting the Bid Analyses.
  • Assist the Logistics team in the preparation of vouchers for rental vehicle payments monthly.
  • Assist with local market surveys; gain knowledge and understanding of the availability of supplies, services, and price of local items.
  • Keep regular contact with logistics and program staff.
  • Assist in organizing and consolidating vehicle movements.
  • Assist in fueling vehicles.
  • Ensure proper filing and scanning of procurement documents and contracts.
  • Submission of procurement files/documents to Finance.
  • Follow up with other departments on relevant task.
  • Facilitate the receiving and dispatching of supplies and project materials to the respective CCs in a timely manner.
  • Ensure effective tracking of materials in stock and returns from the field.
  • Ensure proper preparation of incoming and outgoing waybills and filling out the Good Receipt Notes (GRN).
  • Performs other duties as required by the supervisor.

Academic Profile

These includes the following criteria but not limited to :
  • Hold at least a Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics or any Related Field.
  • Familiar with the culture and local language of the North West Region
  • At least 1 year of relevant work experience in the Logistics Field is a plus.

Duration of the contract: 06 months
