OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION:
- Collecting, maintaining and reporting high-quality data
- Responsibilities:
- Attend enumerator training and have a good understanding of data collection tools and
- techniques;
- Proactively engage in pilot testing exercises while working objectively.
- Transfer data from paper formats into computer files or database systems using keyboards, data
- recorders or optical scanners etc.
- Create spreadsheets with large numbers of figures without mistakes.
- Verify data by comparing it to source documents and update existing data.
- Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested.
- Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation.
- Sort and organize paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lost.
- Carry out scanning activities to save data collection tools in electronic formats.
- Liaising with supervisor and peers to develop and implement daily work plans.
- Make sure to carry an Action Against Hunger temporary identification (ID).
- Plan and work collaboratively with other assigned enumerators.
- Professionally communicate with respondents (self-introduction, introduction of survey
- objective and purpose) and respect of local customs.
- Respect of security rules and all AAH procedures.
- Inform and update supervisor about the daily task at least twice per day.
- Responsible to report any assistance, challenge and troubles to the supervisor.
- Submit daily report to the supervisor
DIPLOMAS/STUDIES/EXPERIENCE:
- Advanced Level plus 2 in any field of studies but diploma/degree in public health, nursing, or social science will be an added advantage.
- Should have a minimum of three months professional experience in qualitative and quantitative data collection on health; Nutrition; or other related issues preferably with a development and/or humanitarian NGO.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Good knowledge of the area and local customs of Meme and Kupe Manenguba communities of
- SW Region.
- Knowledge/experience working in Meme and Kupe Manenguba communities highly preferably
- Proven experience as data entry clerk is an asset
- Fast typing skills; knowledge of touch typing system is strongly preferred
- Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel etc.)
- Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices
- Basic understanding of databases
- Good command of English both oral and written and customer service skills
- Great attention to detail
- Familiar with basic android or Smartphone applications
- Experienced in SMART data collection, particularly Kobo Toolbox is an asset.
- Good capacity to work in a team, capacity to manage priorities,
- Willingness to work under pressure,
- Have the ability to cope with stressful situations, good organizational and interpersonal skills,
- Innovative, motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated ability to work on strict deadlines;
- Willing to accomplish each day’s work with peers and supervisor at the end of each day, which may involve long working hours.
- Commit to respect and apply AAH’'s gender policy.

- Contribute to a working environment that takes into account each other's specificities and avoids
