IFC Douala Country Office:

The Douala Country Office oversees and coordinates IFC’s activities in the Central Africa Sub-region, which includes Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Democratic Republic of Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Republic of Congo, and Sao Tome & Principe.

Roles & Responsibilities:
Document Management:

  • Ensure quality control of internal and external documents.
  • Assist in drafting, editing, formatting, and producing documents and correspondence.
Scheduling and Coordination:
  • Coordinate schedules, monitor changes, and communicate updates.
  • Assist in preparing conferences, seminars, workshops, and related logistics.
 Administrative Support:
  • Maintain distribution lists, contact information, and project files.
  • Handle vendor communications and travel logistics.
  • Provide primary assistance to the Finance officer, including SAP-related operations.
  • Back-up other administrative staff as needed.
Team Collaboration:
Work effectively within a multi-cultural team.
Respond to diverse situations with good judgment, tact, and diplomacy.

Selection Criteria:
Education & Experience:
  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree or college diploma with at least 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a large international organization.
Skills:
  • Strong organizational, administrative, and time management skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to maintain quality standards under pressure.
  • Proven ability to work in team-oriented, multi-cultural environments.
  • Effective analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills in English and French.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, Outlook, One Drive, and ability to learn new software quickly.
Interpersonal Skills:


  • Outstanding ability to interact effectively with internal and external contacts, using good judgment, tact, and diplomacy.
Work Involves Interaction With:
  • Internal: World Bank units, staff in various locations.
  • External: Government Officials, Consultants, External Organizations, Service providers.
