Strategy Development and Implementation
  • Provide reports and analysis to support and contribute to the development of the functional strategy in line with the overarching business goals
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting to enable the regular review of the functional strategy, roadmap, and performance to ensure its alignment with the changing dynamics of the internal and external ecosystem
Governance

Operational, Tactical and Strategic Meetings
  • Provide input on all projects initiated.
  • Review key risks, issues and dependencies and set mitigation actions.
  • Provide input in strategic meetings when required
  • Provide inputs into the risk mitigation and controls
  • Provide input into the preparation of proposal on change initiatives, policies, and procedures.
Escalations
  • Manage and resolve escalations that have impact on critical path of service delivery.
  • Escalate issues that will result in significant time, scope, employee/customer or cost impact if not resolved.
  • Manage and provide solutions to issues that require formal resolution
Function Tactical
  • Provide input into all projects initiated
  • Provide input into establishing objectives, targets, and budgets for the function as applicable.
  • Identify and document key risks, issues and dependencies and set mitigation actions
  • Prepare documentation required for sign-off / making decisions regarding tactical changes.
Performance
  • Review performance against agreed KPIs and their compliance to SLAs and reverse SLAs
  • Review and monitor plan for continuous improvement
  • Ensure execution in alignment with divisional strategy
  • Continuous performance monitoring and adjust strategy and actions to deliver targets
Reporting
  • Report on a periodic basis relating to progress made within the function and in accordance with the measurement metrics set by the organization
  • Report on an ad hoc basis on specific projects, as required
Budgets
  • Manage sub-divisional budgets in line with business objectives
  • Manage project or initiative budgets in line with business objectives
RESPONSIBILITIES

Operational Delivery:
  • Evaluate business requirements and provide guidance to the business during product, service and project initiation requiring new or modified applications
  • Identify and/or audit product proposals, business requirements, existing policies, and technologies
  • Monitor business process improvement initiatives especially with regards to product and service development for streamlining PPP’s (People, Process, Product) and align them to international best practices
  • Perform optimization and performance monitoring for established business processes that are dependent on IT support
  • Analyse information needs and deliver functional requirements and business requirements documentation
  • Evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs
  • Collaborate with external and internal customers to transform Requirements and concerns into business Use Cases
  • Develop requirements specifications according to standard templates, using natural language
  • Acts as a main POC between business customers and IT units regarding IT services demands, designs and deliveries provided to MTN external and internal customers
  • Track and report on the number of initiatives where best practices in requirement management have been implemented
  • Identify process improvement/enhancement areas, implement initiatives, and assess the effectiveness of these at enhancing and improving processes
  • Systematically document and formalize a comprehensive set of business processes, ensuring alignment with recognized industry best practices
  • Continuously ensure timely compilation of business analysis demand planning, meeting designated timelines
  • Track and ensure timely sign-off of BRS, SRS handover to Architect and RTM delivery according to the agreed timelines
QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related field from a reputable institution
  • Fluent in English and French
  • Certifications in ITIL Foundation, Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or any BA/BPA related certification, TOGAF, Azure Cloud (AZ900) or any cloud certification will be an advantage
Experience:
  • 3-5 years of experience in business analysis or a related field
  • Working knowledge of database management systems (DBMS) and data modelling concepts
  • Familiarity with various IT systems and technologies (e.g., cloud computing, APIs, System Integration)
  • Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and compliance requirements (Telecommunications and IT)
  • Knowledge of business environment in telecoms industry
  • Proficiency in business analysis tools (e.g., Microsoft Visio) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
  • Knowledge of Product development driven by IT software delivery
  • Requirement’s definition, process modelling, and operating model design
  • Knowledge TM Forum best practices
  • Prior experience working with various IT software and systems a plus
  • Exposure to formal requirements management, design processes
  • Working in Project management environment
