British Council GREAT Scholarship 2025/2026

The British Council GREAT Scholarship is a popular Scholarship in UK Universities.

For the 2025/2026 academic year, 200 GREAT Scholarships available in more than 70 UK Universities in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. To apply for the UK GREAT Scholarship, select a UK university that offers GREAT Scholarships and aligns with your academic interests. 

For each country, scholarships are available at the designated institutions. There is no application fee to apply for the GREAT Scholarship. The GREAT Scholarship is jointly funded by the UK Government, GREAT Britain Campaign, and the British Council with participating UK higher education institutes. More details are below.

Eligible Countries

For the academic year 2025/26, the scholarship is open to students from 18 countries:Bangladesh, China, Egypt, France, Ghana, Greece, India, Indonesia, Italy, Kenya,Malaysia, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, Spain, Thailand, Turkey,Vietnam.

Eligibility Criteria

• An applicant must be from an eligible country
• An applicant must have completed an undergraduate degree.
• Meet the English language requirement set by the UK University.
• Must maintain contact with the British Council and act as an ambassador for the GREAT Scholarships.
