We are looking for a highly skilled Legal Officer​ to join one of our top-tier clients in Face Moving and Consumer Goods. Your principal role will be to Contribute to implementing legal monitoring procedures and management of legal acts, litigation and the company's assets.

Missions
  • Define and validate the Company's insurance policy and monitor the execution of related contracts;
  • Develop or have developed legal documents relating to the management of the Company's assets;
  • Ensure regulatory monitoring and monitoring of land and environmental procedures;
  • Monitor pre-litigation and litigation documents: Management of reports with external firms, and updating of quarterly report files for the head office;
  • Provide legal secretarial services;
  • Ensure the recovery of debts;
  • Special assistance to the HR Department and management of corporate ethics actions in accordance with the rules of Client's Policy (General compliance review - internal regulations, contracts, preventive administrative procedures, disciplinary procedures; training, record keeping, awareness raising).
Responsibilities
  • Study in collaboration with the Top Management the insurance coverages;
  • Propose the terms of reference for the consultation of insurers;
  • Ensure compliance with the clauses of the contracts by the parties upon their signature;
  • Ensure the monitoring of insurance contracts;
  • Monitor the reimbursements of health insurance costs;
  • Ensure the timely reporting of claims and ensure their follow-up;
  • Participate in the drafting of commercial partnership contracts;
  • Develop service provision or supply purchase contracts;
  • Monitor the execution of contracts and Archive all contracts;
  • Manage the legal aspect of the assets making up the assets of the group's companies in Cameroon;
  • Monitor the management of litigation and produce periodic reports;
  • Develop and implement the regulatory and legal monitoring system;
  • Provide legal advice on any subject;
  • Prepare the annual activity report of the service;
  • Keep the titles and deeds concerning the assets;
  • Prepare board of directors and AGM meetings;
  • Attend board of directors meetings;
  • Write the minutes of the CA meetings;
  • Complete all formalities and archive the minutes;
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external standards (legal compliance);
  • Help lead the team in their department;
  • Provide awareness-raising activities on the various risks and responsibilities of the stakeholders;
  • Help coordinate the development of their department's budget;
  • Help monitor the budget of their department.
Profile and Skills
  • Bac+4/5 in Business Law or equivalent diploma;
  • At least eight (08) years of professional experience in similar role;
  • Have notions of human resources management and administration;
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a multicultural environment;
  • Ability to analyze and discern;
  • Have communication skills;
  • Master the legal and tax texts in Cameroon and be able to adapt to changes on it;
  • Master the texts governing the company;
  • Master Microsoft Office and any order software;
  • Perfectly bilingual ( written and spoken).
