Head of Regulatory - Legal and Corporate Affairs.Regulatory, Legal and Stakeholder Management
Job Description
This role is crucial for ensuring MMC is seen as a responsible investor and corporate citizen, capable of pursuing its business objectives without impediment. The role will also liaise with internal and external resources to lead the Public relations (PR) and communication for the OpCo. The role leads teams across the below two sub functions:
- Regulatory affairs
- Public relation
- Public Policy
- corporate communications,
- stakeholder management,
- Corporate Social Responsibility
Staff Leadership and Management
- Source, induct and manage talent in accordance with legislative guidelines and directives from the CEO/Group
- Continually develop a culture of strong collaboration and effective team working
- Ensure open communication channels with staff and implement change management interventions when required, and under supervision from the CEO
- Provide definition of roles, responsibilities, individual goals and performance objectives for the team
- Set KPIs and provide regular performance feedback through a well-defined and implemented performance review program
- Assist in the development and implementation of a training plan in order to build and develop skills within the team
- Performance manage resources in accordance with HR policy and legislation where necessary
- Promote a ‘Fintech centric’ and ‘partnership approach’ to develop strong relationships with other working groups and ensure adherence to Group governance
- Coach and mentor direct reports to ensure high performance and staff motivation.
- Identify staff training and development needs and implement necessary actions.
Qualifications
Education:
- Minimum of 4-year tertiary degree in Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Master of Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, Law or relevant master’s degree is advantageous
- Relevant certification / accreditation / membership with professional body as required
- Strong network of media contacts and experience in corporate communications and government relations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
