ENSAI Ngaoundéré : Admission, training programs and past questions |
History
The National School of Agro-Industrial Sciences (ENSAI), Centre of Excellence for teaching and research in Agro-Industrial Sciences in Cameroon and the Central Africa Sub-region, is the premier institution of the University of Ngaoundere. It is located in a quiet and beautiful environment which is secured and very propitious for academy and research. Created by Presidential decree no433/CAB/PR of 04/10/1982 under the name ENSIAAC, the school evolved to become ENSAI following the reorganisation of Higher Education in Cameroon in 1993 with its main missions being the training of highly qualified engineers with a mastery of indus-trial techniques in Agro-Food Processing (IAA), Industrial Maintenance and Production (MIP), and Industrial Chemistry and Environment (CIGE); the enhancement of post graduate training in Agro-Industrial Sciences and Technology, etc..., contribution to national development process especially through services; continuous education and in-service training of different levels of personnel from the industry, etc.
Training programs
The academic system applied at the National School of Agro-Industrial Sciences (ENSAI) is the BMD system (Bachelor - Master - Doctorate).
1. Cycle of Engineers:
- Agricultural and Food Industries (IAA).
- Industrial and Production Maintenance (MIP) and Industrial Chemistry and Environmental Engineering (CIGE).
2. Research cycle and specialization (Master and Doctorate level):
Master Research -Science and Technology in: Industrial Chemistry and Environment, Agro-industrial Equipment Engineering, Food Sciences and Nutrition, Industrial Process Engineering.
Entry with a bachelors degree
3.Professional Masters in:
- Quality Control and Management;
- Applied Nutrition ;
- Maintenance and Management of Refrigeration and Thermal Systems;
4. Entrance level BAC+3 Doctoral Training
- Process Engineering and Engineering
- Food Science and Nutrition
- Industrial Chemistry and Environment
- Applied and Industrial PhysicsEntrance level DEA or Master Research Master
- Process Engineering and Engineering
- Food Science and Nutrition
- Applied Chemistry

Admission into the Engineering Cycle is through a written competitive entrance examination or through a written application for candidates outside of Cameroon or those presented by organisations or companies. The yearly tuition fees for students admitted through the competitive entrance examination is fifty thousand (50 000) francs, while that for candidates admitted through application is one million (1 000 000) francs.
