York University President's International Excellence Scholarship: York University is offering full-tuition scholarships to outstanding international students wishing to undertake baccalaureate studies at the University for the 2024/2025 academic session.

Eligibility Criteria for York University scholarship

To be considered for the York University President's International Excellence Scholarship, the applicant must:
- Must be an international student who must have a study permit to study in Canada;
- Must have applied to an undergraduate degree program at York that begins fall 2024;
- Must have applied to York directly from high school no more than two years after graduation and have no prior university or college education;
- Must have an excellent academic record with a minimum average of “A” or equivalent;
- Must have demonstrated leadership through community service or excellence in the arts, sports, or other areas of individual achievement;
- Must be nominated by their secondary school (schools can only nominate one student;
- The nominated student will be considered for the York University President's International Excellence Scholarship, the Global Leader of Tomorrow Award, the International Circle of Scholars Scholarships and the University Academic Excellence Scholarships York;
- Applicants should speak to their school guidance counselor, principal, or administration about the York International Student Scholarship and Scholarship application and receive confirmation that they are the person from that school who has been nominated;
- The applicant must then provide the name, position, email and telephone number of the nominator in the application form;
- Must upload a letter of recommendation;
- Must ensure that all required documents appear as "Received" in the York application (MyFile), by February 1, 2024 at 11:59:59 p.m. Eastern Time. You must complete and submit the International Scholarship Application online before the dead

- Demonstrated leadership and skills;
- To renew – must have a high academic score (7.80 on a 9-point York scale) in each academic year at York;
- By submitting this application, you will also be considered for other available international scholarships requiring an application.

How to Apply for the York University President's International Excellence Scholarship?
Apply via the online application form (https://futurestudents.yorku.ca/financialsupport). Minimum “A” average or equivalent (York factor 8 or 9) required for consideration. The application form includes a personal statement from the applicant (500 words or less), a financial profile, a list of volunteer activities and experiences, and two reference letters, one of which must be academic.
