Job Title: Nutrition Field Monitor

Main objective and tasks

Under the supervision of the Project Manager, the Nutrition Field Monitor is responsible for monitoring the implementation and quality of activities for the prevention, detection and treatment of malnutrition in the project intervention areas. He/she will ensure that the training and capacity-building needs of field staff are addressed in a timely manner.

Coordination and external representation

• Ensure a good understanding of the different activities of INTERSOS and establish good relations with all project stakeholders in the intervention areas under the supervision of the Project Manager;
• Under the supervision of the Project Manager, ensure regular and active presence at technical and general meetings at the local level (in all localities where the project is implemented);
• Ensure the collection and quality of shared information under the control of the Project Manager;
• Under the supervision of the Project Manager and following the communication charter, ensure effective and timely communication with WFP staff on field operations;

Supervision and follow-up

• Train CHWs/relays/focal points on malnutrition screening;
• Support the training of beneficiaries on malnutrition screening;
• Provide support to the teams on the organization of the work and monitor and evaluate the achievement;
• Follow up on and ensure referral of children with SAM to care structures jointly with community actors;
• Coordinate with MEAL officer and Reporting Assistant on the monthly monitoring and reporting of home visits and community screenings;
• In collaboration with the Project Manager, participate in the development of the operational strategy for all field work on Nutrition, including community mobilization; - Coordinates payment procedures, including documentation and reporting to ensure accountability to the donor and the organization;
