Position Description:
Jeunes Volontaires pour l’Environnement au Cameroun (JVE Cameroun) is inviting applications for two dynamic communication interns to join our team for a 6-month internship program. The selected candidates will play a crucial role in supporting JVE Cameroun’s communication activities, which include managing social media platforms, creating written and graphic content, administering the website, executing email campaigns, and organizing press events.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Develop social media content and implement posting schedules to engage followers on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
- Design visually appealing infographics, posters, and presentations using Canva and PowerPoint.
- Draft, edit, and distribute press releases to media contacts.
- Assist in producing monthly newsletters and annual reports.
- Help organize press conferences and publicity events.
- Provide communication support for various JVE campaigns and projects.
- Pursuing a diploma/degree in communications, journalism, marketing, or a related field.
- Strong written communication skills in both French and English.
- Excellent knowledge of major social media platforms and analytics.
- Proficiency in Canva, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with WordPress or other content management systems.
- Great interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Passionate about environmental issues.
- Position based in Yaoundé, Cameroon.
- Flexible part-time schedule at the JVE office.
- Opportunity to take on substantive communication responsibilities.
