Grassland is a food storage, drying, and distribution company that sources products from smallholder farmers, whom we support during the season with input loans and training, so that they can be more productive. We transform the farmers' produce into standardized, graded products that we sell to large industrial buyers who can be sure of the quality they receive. Our flagship product BooWee is Cameroon’s first fortified instant fermented maize cereal.
The Community Manager is a recent graduate with experience in graphic design. In addition to managing BooWee’s digital presence, He/she will assist the Sales Consultant and/or Business Development Associate in boosting both online and traditional sales and supporting daily activities.
Responsibilities
- Promoting and selling BooWee across all platforms defined in branding and communications charter;
- Designing and editing content online to boost engagement and sales;
- Participating in organizing other company events including trade fairs and exhibitions;
- Push social media content marketing our products and promotional campaigns;
- Manage day-to-day social media campaigns;
- Become an advocate of the Company in social media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate;
- Provide regular feedback based on insights gained from social media monitoring to management for sales and trade show or other opportunities
- Demonstrated graphic design & content editing skills
- Keen interest in brand development and management
- Bilingual with excellent writing skills in English & French
- Demonstrated digital marketing knowledge and experience
- Aware of cultural references for the Cameroonian and international markets
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and strategies to improve engagement and community building
- Knowledge of blogging ecosystem relevant to agribusiness and our product
- Strong team player, with quick decision making skills & the ability to multitask
- Willing to learn and grow in a startup environment
