About Us:

Cameroon Mining Company is a dynamic and fast-growing mineral exploration and development firm focused on unlocking the mineral wealth of Central Africa. Our flagship project is a large-scale iron ore operation located in the region, with plans to develop a world-class open-pit mine and associated infrastructure.

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project/Operations Manager to lead and oversee one of our mining operations in Central Africa, specifically focused on iron ore development and production. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, technical knowledge, and proven experience in managing large-scale mining projects from development through production.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the full operational lifecycle of the iron ore mining project, from development to production.
Lead cross-functional teams across geology, mining, processing, logistics, and environmental compliance.

• Manage project timelines, operational budgets, staffing, procurement, and resources.
• Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and internal policies.
• Monitor and report on operational performance, identifying areas for improvement and efficiency.
• Engage with regulatory bodies, contractors, local communities, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
• Provide regular progress updates and strategic recommendations to senior management.
• Identify and mitigate risks that could impact the successful delivery of the project.

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mining Engineering, Geology, Project Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 7 years of mining experience, with at least 3 years in a senior management or project leadership role.

• Direct experience in iron ore operations is required.
• Strong understanding of mine planning, operations management, and production forecasting.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and team coordination skills.
• Familiarity with mining software and project management tools.
• Willingness to work on-site in Central Africa and travel as needed.
