(01) AUTO ELECTRICIAN WITH A/C KNOWLEDGE (LMV & HCV) 

JOB PURPOSE

To perform diagnostics, repair, and preventive maintenance of electrical and air conditioning systems for both Light Motor Vehicles (LMVS) and Heavy Commercial Vehicles (HCVs).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

VEHICLE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM MAINTENANCE (LMV & HCV)

• Diagnose and repair faults in lighting, alternators, starters, batteries, instrument clusters, ECU wiring, and ignition systems.
• Service and repair electrical systems including power windows, horn, indicators, wipers, and electronic sensors.
• Troubleshoot CAN bus systems, relay circuits, and electronic control modules in modern vehicles.

AIR CONDITIONING (A/C) SYSTEM REPAIRS

• Diagnose and repair A/C issues for both LMVS and HCVs, including trucks and buses. 
• Perform refrigerant recovery, vacuuming, leak testing, and gas recharging. Replace and service compressors, condensers, blower motors, expansion valves, and cabin filters.
• Ensure HVAC systems in buses maintain proper temperature and airflow performance.

PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE

• Carry out scheduled electrical and A/C inspections for fleet vehicles.
• Identify and replace worn-out electrical harnesses or A/C components.
• Record and report recurring faults to prevent future breakdowns.

TOOL & EQUIPMENT HANDLING

• Operate diagnostic tools such as multimeters, OBD scanners, A/C manifold gauges, and vacuum pumps.
• Maintain and calibrate electrical and A/C tools in the workshop.

KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

• Strong expertise in automotive electrical and A/C systems across LMVs and HCVs. •Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and service manuals. Skilled in the use of diagnostic tools and A/C servicing equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• Technical Certificate or Diploma in Auto Electrical, Auto A/C, or related field.

JOB PURPOSE

To carry out tyre-related services including inspection, fitting, rotation, balancing, puncture repair, and replacement for Light Motor Vehicles (LMVS) and Heavy Commercial Vehicles (HCVS), ensuring roadworthiness, safety, and cost-effective tyre management

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

TYRE INSPECTION & MAINTENANCE

• Inspect tyres for wear, damage, pressure, tread depth, and alignment issues.
• Monitor tyre conditions and report irregularities (cupping, sidewall cracks, etc.).
• Record tyre usage history and rotate tyres based on vehicle type and mileage. TYRE REPAIR & REPLACEMENT
• Remove and fit tyres on rims for LMVs, trucks, buses, and trailers using manual and hydraulic tools.
• Repair punctures (tube and tubeless), valve replacements, and sidewall patches as per standard procedures.
• Balance wheels and perform basic wheel alignment (if applicable).

TYRE PRESSURE & SAFETY

• Check and adjust air pressure as per manufacturer's specifications.
• Use compressed air filling systems where applicable.
• Ensure safe tyre inflation and deflation practices to avoid burst injuries. INVENTORY & DOCUMENTATION
• Track tyre stock, report tyre usage, and update tyre serial numbers for traceability.
• Maintain tyre movement records (new fitment, replaced, re-treaded, scrapped). • Assist in managing re-treading and tyre vendor coordination.

WORKSHOP HYGIENE & SAFETY

• Maintain cleanliness in the tyre bay and workshop.
• Follow safety standards and use PPE while handling tyres and equipment.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• Basic education (minimum primary or secondary school level).
• 2-4 years of experience in a tyre service workshop or fleet operation.
• Experience handling tyres for trucks, trailers, and light vehicles is essential.

JOB PURPOSE

To lead the technical servicing, troubleshooting, and repairs of all Light Motor Vehicles (LMVS) in the fleet. The Master Technician is responsible for diagnosing complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults, guiding junior technicians, and ensuring all work meets manufacturer standards and safety regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

ADVANCED DIAGNOSTICS & REPAIR

• Perform in-depth diagnostics on engine, transmission, braking, suspension, electrical, and electronic systems. 
• Repair or replace defective components using specialized tools and equipment.
• Use OBD scanners and manufacturer software to identify and solve issues.

PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE

• Carry out scheduled maintenance tasks as per OEM recommendations.
• Ensure all maintenance is completed to the highest quality standards.
• Inspect vehicles post-service and certify roadworthiness.

TECHNICAL LEADERSHIP

• Guide and support junior technicians in daily tasks.
