What the programme covers
GrEnFIn trains specialists in the energy transition. You choose a single track: Renewable Technologies, Environmental Finance or Climate & Business.
Each track has its own mobility path. Renewable Technologies starts at Dauphine's London campus then continues in Bologna. Environmental Finance goes through Munich then Paris. Climate & Business goes through Bologna, Munich and Paris. The final semester is reserved for an internship or a research project.
At the end, you receive three master's degrees, one from each university.
Who can apply
- Holders of a three-year bachelor's degree in one of the fields listed above.
- Final-year students, provided they graduate no later than 23 July 2027.
- Applicants with a B2 level of English, proven by a certificate less than three years old at the deadline.
- Candidates who have never received an Erasmus Mundus master's scholarship.
Documents to prepare from Africa

Mistakes to avoid
- Filling in the ISCED template carelessly: it is used to score your academic record out of 60 points.
- Assuming that a degree taught in English in Cameroon, Nigeria or Ghana exempts you from the test. Only degrees or nationalities from the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland and the United Kingdom qualify for an exemption.
- Submitting a Duolingo test: it is not on the accepted list.
- Applying to two tracks: only one is allowed.
- Ignoring your @studio.unibo.it inbox: the interview date is sent there.
- Waiting until early January: the University of Bologna offices are closed from 23 December 2026 to 6 January 2027.
To improve your odds, also look at the Erasmus Mundus scholarship in aeronautical and space engineering, the Erasmus Mundus MAPP master's in public policy and the Erasmus Mundus EMMIR scholarship in migration studies. And if studying abroad is not an option right now, an online degree with a partial Unicaf scholarship is another route.
