The Menka Area Cooperative Credit Union Ltd (MENACCUL) is seeking an experienced and dedicated professional to serve as Branch Manager for its Simbock, Yaoundé branch.

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Branch Manager will oversee the branch's operations, drive performance, and ensure results are in line with budgeted projections.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Banking and Finance, Management, Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of professional experience in the microfinance sector, preferably in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English and French is required.
KEY COMPETENCIES
  • Strong knowledge of the microfinance sector and banking operations.
  • Expertise in sales strategies and commercial negotiations.
  • Proficiency in the use of office tools (e.g., Microsoft Office).
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Management:
  • Prepare financial statements.
  • Control cash flow, physical cash, assets, and liabilities.
  • Identify and manage branch budgets.
  • Monitor branch profitability and ensure financial performance targets are met.
Portfolio Management:
  • •Develop and maintain a healthy credit portfolio with a
  • Portfolio at Risk (PAR) of less than 5%.
Customer Service:
  • Address and resolve customer complaints and inquiries promptly.
  • Ensure customers receive exceptional service.
  • Prospect and develop a customer portfolio.
Staff Management:
  • Recruit, hire, train, and develop branch staff.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to foster staff growth and adherence to organizational policies.
Risk Management:
  • Conduct risk assessments and impact analyses.
  • Develop and monitor the implementation of risk management strategies.
Community Engagement:
  • Actively participate in community events to enhance the branch's local presence and foster positive relationships.
Reporting:
  • Prepare and present performance reports to senior management and the Board of Directors.
