Job Description
REGARTLESS is looking for a Program Coordinator to join its team. The Program Coordinator will develop, implement, and administer RGL programs/projects. The role involves developing proposals, coordinating logistics, monitoring program activities, and ensuring effective communication with stakeholders to achieve program objectives. We are an art and culture organization and Activist movement with a mandate to protect, promote, and preserve cultural heritage and different forms of artistic expression. Founded in Bamenda during the height of the armed conflict, our work is guided by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals – Agenda 2030 and the African Union Agenda 2063: The Africa We Want. Our work spans global issues, including decolonization, advancing children’s rights, Climate Change, Social Justice, Women's Empowerment, and Human Rights. The quest to reinvent Africa is at the center of the work we do. We acknowledge the evolution of the ecosystem and thus readily adapt to respond to the constantly changing circumstances. To achieve this, REGARTLESS is imploring the use of Arts, Culture, Sports, and Research to stimulate social conversations, inspire action for change, drive political reform, and enhance livelihoods.
The selected candidate will report to the president. This is a full-time position based in Yaounde or Bamenda.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Coordination
- Develop programmes/projects and proposals to mobilise resources to realise these.
- Develop work plans, schedules, and budgets for programs/projects.
- Handle the day-to-day coordination of program activities, ensuring tasks are completed on time and within budget.
- Organize meetings, workshops, and events related to program activities.
- Administrative Support
- Maintain accurate records of program activities, expenditures, and deliverables.
- Prepare documentation for reports, proposals, and communication materials
- Preparing updates and correspondence for stakeholders.
- Monitoring and Follow-Up
- Track program progress against set milestones and timelines.
- Assist in collecting and organizing data for monitoring and evaluation purposes.
- Identify and report potential challenges or delays to the President.
- Stakeholder Coordination
- Develop new partnerships, maintain existing ones.
- Maintain a database of partners, donors, vendors, and relevant stakeholders.
- Act as a point of contact for program-related inquiries and communications.
- Liaise with partners, consultants, and vendors to ensure program requirements are met.
- Facilitate smooth communication between the team and stakeholders
- A degree in arts management, cultural studies, social sciences, Development studies, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in program coordination/Proposal writing, preferably in the cultural or non-profit sector.
- Excellent writing skills
- Strong organizational and administrative skills, with attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to challenges.
- Familiarity with the cultural sector and stakeholders in Cameroon.
- Fluency in English. Additional competence in French is a plus.
